i've always been pretty supportive of nounish people doing their thing in the name of nouns. so from that perspective i'm a +for. if this proposal doesn't pass, I would like to see if the DAO can support some of the more actively nounish members of nouns.fe.

I agree with Ohan's suggestion of creating more of an ambassador position but I think the nouns fe team is actively moving towards that direction from my perspective and from the experience of being able to meet everyone on the team!

nouns fe has a solid membership, the contributions that have been made to disseminate Nouns through CS2 have had an indirect impact on the DAO. Moreover, they are also active in governance through their regular voting. This means that this team not only puts the Nouns logo on their jersey but also actively contributes to the DAO.

Nouns fe lit up Launders LAN 2 and were easily the best ambassadors to the brand in the building. Every single person I talked to about the event mentioned about their alacrity to make friends. It reflects in their presence throughout the DAO that they not only represent women in Counter-strike but Nouns as well.

Personally, they’ve helped me get stuck in and feel comfortable and as someone who is here to build for Nouns I would call that the unquantifiable value that they bring. They have my full throated support as both a women’s CS team and as people.

The Nouns.fe team are valuable members of the Nouns community. These people are avid voters on proposals, and have a large presence on Warpcast. It is clear that they want to see Nouns grow as a whole. They have been extremely open to feedback, and event went as far as to rewrite their proposal. I strongly believe that if this proposal passes, the Nouns.fe team would advocate for Nouns and integrate aspects of being "brand ambassadors" as some of you are suggesting in the comments. Based on what they have demonstrated, it is quite plain to see that they would do much more than just receive funding for competition.

the game of Nouns for me is an opportunity to use blockchain to demonstrate individual agency through civic engagement and create collective positive externalities; an experiment in society building even if I radically disagree with other's approach who share that view.

videos games are great as a hobby or a way to connect with friends who you may not have physical proximity to. I don't see value or merit in video games as a profession, particularly in a time when the global civic fabric and physical infrastructure that supports life is so frayed

I believe that in Nouns we should hold our friends more accountable than strangers and so after much contemplation I decided to vote no on this proposal. In my view, Nouns should prioritize pursuing outsized opportunities, and unfortunately, the scope of this proposal doesn’t feel particularly exciting to me as an esports fan.

The reality of the female CS scene is challenging. Tournaments in this space receive very few views, have minimal reach or prize pools, and attract almost no sponsorships. These factors make the ROI outlined in this proposal difficult to believe in, and also make it hard to justify funding a competitive roster in this area.

I deeply respect the Nouns.fe team as valuable members of the Nouns community, and I’d love to see them revise their proposal with a stronger focus on community building and serving as ambassadors for Nouns. Shifting away from competition could not only reduce the funding required but also better align the proposal with how it benefits Nouns as a whole.

I love Benjamin’s idea, but I also think this is something worth funding as is.

I went back and fourth with this proposal - While the idea of funding a team to simply play an esport is not exciting to me, this team isn't just playing games.... they're already deeply engrained in Nounish culture and naturally onboarding others into our community. It's impressive to see how effortlessly they weave Nouns into their interactions and engagement. Seeing that bigger picture of community growth and authentic proliferation really made me excited about the potential impact of this initiative.

The nounsfe team is a great onboarding success story and I'd love to see what they can do with this opportunity.

When it comes to competitive teams we’ve funded to represent the DAO, we believe we haven’t seen a better example than Nouns.fe! While female esports may not yet command the same level of attention as their male counterparts, Nouns.fe’s passion and dedication to the DAO make the impact they have on those they reach far more meaningful. This doesn’t feel forced—it’s not just a paid logo on their shirts. They are genuinely proud to represent the DAO and don the ⌐◨-◨ with authenticity and passion. Nouns.fe continues to show up and actively contribute to the ecosystem. They have truly embodied the spirit of being Nounish, and that’s why we are backing them here! These are the contributors the DAO should support!

Sponsoring a team setup for competitive gaming is unlikely going to yield the desired impact you and the ⌐◨-◨ ecosystem and community would wish for other than having salaries covered for 12 months.

I'd be very supportive for a "brand ambassador" type of prop for jesscas and lunari to host culturally relevant side events at other tournaments, etc. to attract, engage and cultivate a community of like-minded people. But not necessarily as a 100% monthly paycheck.

The proposal lacks a detailed financial breakdown and clear ROI metrics. While it aims to enhance brand value and community engagement, it does not provide sufficient evidence of long-term financial sustainability or significant impact on Nouns DAO's financial health. The proposal also lacks a comprehensive risk management plan and specific execution milestones.

This is the story I want to support! I read through the X thread where CS fans were saying things like "drop the female team" and "the problem is the DAO is full of people who don't understand the scene." The twist is, yes! We're definitely not an esports-only organization, nor are we all experts in the scene.

We don't want to fund the best team ever and simply win every championship; there are plenty of people doing this already. This might sound weird, but Nouns is weird.

We gotta fund great stories and nounish people. And kudos to nounslunari.eth and jesscas.eth for being so active in governance. GO GIRLS, GO NOUNS!
