I love Tagawa-san's passion and energy for nouns and this proposal seems reasonable.
Tagawa san is very suitable to carry out this proposal! After several revisions, this is the right proposal to get the funding!
Thanks for revising the prop, adding a clear reason for traveling, and laying out the plan for the future. Good luck!
Few parents came to our place and asked whether he/she could do any activities with their kids. And this is one of it 🫡
first International Kitpas instructor? Nounish af
the Kitpas instructor can go across the world and teach the kids how Tagawa San colors his drawings, the nounish way!
Im pretty convinced this is something we should fund at this point. Ive struggled with the why (and some of the line items) in the past but supporting Tagawa is about as wholesome as it gets imo. Further, VCs nor typical charities are effective/motivated to fund these type of activities.

I like the idea of a "cultural exchange." Additionally, incorporating Nouns into the lives of children could be very beneficial for both parties. Who knows? These children could be the next Nounish generation.
Funding someone’s trip and training does not seem clearly useful to our dao. Frownish.

Appreciate the revisions to get this prop super-lean. Loved learning about kitpas and believe the effort is core to Nouns brand, do-good efforts, and the irl travel needs are warranted and clear. Good luck, eager to buy a set <3

There are many good reasons to not pro-actively export this precious educational arts initiative from Japan to the US now. It goes across almost all industries that Japan has been directional in setting these type of cultural trends. The export has always happened more or less organically, when the time was right.
I hope the team sees the value they're creating and keep cultivating it locally in Japan with a smaller focus on exporting it to the US. You're work is so unique, I have no doubt that people from outside of Japan will pick up on it and carry it into the world. And that might become the revenue model in the future... certifying instructors.

Normally I would be against covering travel and training costs for any individual, especially with a price tag this high.
However, this feels like a strategic opportunity for Nouns to support a nounish art form and sub-culture (and artist), proliferate efficiently via the network of instructors in Japan, pave the way to bring Kitpas to america with ⌐◨-◨ on, and create some awesome content along the way. Love the pics of kids with noggles on showing off their creations. glhf!

I can't frame it otherwise. If you look at this purely finally you won't be able to understand this proposal (which sucks for people like me who are very methodical), but this proposal isn't about that and Tagawa has the track record of making things and making them right.
Same reasoning as past props - Kitpas brings the best of Nouns worldwide, acting as a fantastic introduction to the Nouns ethos

The team has been on Noun O'Clock consistently to talk about their proposal in every iteration, and their passion and determination to find a proposal that is valuable both for the DAO and each and every child in these workshops is evident.
Midas has been in the orbit of Nouns for ages- he understands the Nouns ethos and believes in doing good without expectation of return. Children are our future, and nourishing their creative spirit is as pure an example of a public good as any I've seen. I believe it makes perfect sense to provide him with the tools and knowledge to do just that. Easy yes.

Krel summed up my feelings exactly.
As a continuation of the work started in prop 484 we are in support - Orca Pod
We love and support Tagawa, or as the pizza mafia knows him, "Crispy McCallister." - PizzaDAO Governance Crew

The proposal lacks a clear financial return mechanism and measurable impact metrics. While it aims to expand Nounish values globally, the financial expenditure of $43,900 USDC is significant without a detailed plan on how this will enhance Nouns DAO's financial position or brand value. The proposal also does not provide specific KPIs or a return on investment, making it difficult to justify the expenditure.
these AI votes creep me out

By training Midas as the first international Kitpas art instructor, this proposal seeks to expand the Nounish movement beyond borders, starting in Japan and moving to the U.S. and beyond. The workshops will serve as a cultural exchange platform that introduces Nounish values to global communities, fostering creativity, cultural dialogue, and artistic collaboration.
This is a pivotal step in establishing global Nounish Kitpas workshops and solidifying Nouns as a vehicle for creative expression and cultural connection worldwide.
This proposal is the first half of a two-part initiative aiming to expand Nounish-themed Kitpas workshops globally, starting with Midas's certification as the first Kitpas instructor outside Japan. Building on previous successes (Prop 484, 600, and 656), Midas will travel to Japan for 9 days of intensive training, host workshops, and meet with Kitpas industry leaders. Upon certification, he will bring the skills back to the US, creating a pathway for Nounish Kitpas art workshops to be hosted globally. The workshops will blend Nounish philosophy with Kitpas art to create a unique experience fostering cross-cultural connections, with both Japanese and international students participating. The training and workshops will further NounsDAO’s mission of engaging with global audiences through creative expression. The proposal includes a budget for Midas’s travel, accommodation, and workshops, requesting 43,900 USDC for completion.
