As stated by a few others, supporting subcultures is something that aligns with Nouns' ideals. Nerd has cultivated quite a large community on Farcaster. Bringing people who are unfamiliar with crypto into the Nounish world as well as transitioning IRL table top gamers to online would be a huge step for all those involved.

I think unfortunately this prop requires you to have seen ispeaknerd.eth in action, because it made me think it’s possible he can lead the next big board game movement and do so in a very nounish way.

Agree with noun40.eth and anyone else who is hesitant on the software costs. Please repropose with what’s minimum viable to get the community to the next stage if this doesn’t pass 🙏

if this prop doesn’t pass i would focus on what is needed to keep the tabletop community going (i imagine the events and tournaments portion is what’s critical?) and see if there’s a version of this that could work without the big software / admin costs. i’m supportive of onchain elos and stuff but what’s more important to me is that there’s growing and sustaining community that are playing and competing even if some of the software stuff is sub optimal. if the community grows and the overlap of community with existing nouns fan base grows and we feel good about nouns sponsoring all of this then i’d imagine there’d be more appetite by the community to fund the platform at a larger scale as well

In favor. Though I would much prefer irl/physical product proposals like this approach funding from a tranche/stages/show-of-progress perspective. Funding it all in one go just does not make sense to me once we're talking ~$25K+ efforts,especially when they must by-definition unfold in phases/proof of progress. 2/3 multistig is OK but it's the bottom of the Kardashev scale for me and a must-have/tablestakes (pun intended 100%) for efforts like this.

Budget is great and well-broken down, appreciate that. Bigger projects have come with less clarity. I also see tabletop/DND/MTG communities as being great opportunitiers for Nouns to expand: high-TAM, art/visual values overlap, communities of smart nerds ;)

Like that everyone seems to have had a positive experience with meeting iSpeak and playing games with him... but not sure i like gatekeeping membership after nouns funding especially without being open source (will it be?).

I appreciate ISpeakNerd taking in feedback from his first proposal and making significant changes to this current proposal. I think its important that Nouns continues to fund subcultures that exist even without Nouns financial support, allowing Nouns to be a complimentary pairing vs just a source of funding. Also, while I wasn't able to play the camel game at Nouns Town, it was great seeing the table have a constant rotation of players.

Met ispeaknerd in LA, confident in his passion and belief towards what he's building. Tapping into passionate underfunded communities always has potential to bloom bigger, lets see what he can do

This is a no brainer for me. ispeaknerd has been building this community brick by brick (i.e. cast by cast) for months now and its one of the most visible and active communities on Farcaster. Nerd was a perfect vehicle for introducing the Nounish game at Nounstown; he embodied Nounish culture. He marvelously explained - and got us addicted to - the Nounish game created by fellow Noun, brennen.eth.

I think this joint effort makes a lot of sense for both projects.

I fail to see how this will benefit Nouns. And if anything, I think it should be bootstrapped first and get some traction before scaling it through Nouns. Love the effort tho and the energy of the members.

I wanted to signal my support of this project and team. I played Brennen’s game at Nouns Town and thought it was fantastic. I also think that as more IRL tabletop gamers move online (massive growth in online playing since the pandemic imo) this is an exciting way to bring a whole new wave of people into the Nounish community, through something they already understand and love. If I had a vote, they would definitely get it.
