The OSHI team have worked tirelessly to support artists since they opened their doors in Smith street Collingwood and in previous iterations as specialist fine art and graphic printers Milk Bar and gallerists for street artists in pre web3 times. I've had the pleasure of both working closely with them and enjoying the delight of their live events. I would revel in the task of re-styling their metaverse instance to replicate the adoption of Nouns identity just as I did most recently for their Doge meme exhibition https://www.voxels.com/parcels/7212 . I impeach you to vote 'yes' to this proposal. These guys are renowned for their hard work, good humour and fair dealing, they would prove to be perfect ambassadors for Nouns. Their irrepressible energy will undoubtedly have a multiplier effect on any Nouns' grant funding, growing the network's reach like Pascal's famous triangle https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Pascal%27s_Triangle_animated_binary_rows.gif
was impressed with the activations that have been already done at OSHI and think Nouns can immensely benefit from being at the center of web3 awesomeness in Melb

I had the pleasure of spending a couple of weeks with these legends for the variety bash and what I thought I knew became abundantly clear, that if we setup irl spaces in Australia, this crew should be stewards of such a space design. Their energy is infectious and influential. Their ideas and drive are aligned with what I believe nouns to be, especially in Australia. Last make this happen.
not to mention gt and jane are so incredibly humble that they tend to undersell themselves. they've a deep network, some incredible connections, and when they do things, they get noticed (see front page of guardian during variety bash).
ps. would have voted earlier but was battling a 36 hour onslaught of bali belly 💀
I like the idea of a Nouns IRL space offering art, culture, and technology in one place—a public space for everyone. I expect it to grow progressively.
The digital mural sounds good. Curation will be paramount here to prevent it from becoming a generic billboard. Maybe this is the first milestone.
I'd cut off the noun and expect you to request it in ~six months when it's all up and running or buy them using the digital mural's revenue. You can still easily participate in governance with zero weight until that happens.
On the other hand, I'm not a fan of the name and logo; I'd expect a budget for design.
I would be happy to support a revised version!
The Oshi team does have the capability and ability to carry out this proposal. However, there are some things that I think still need to be revised such as names that I think look unattractive, then location mockups that need to be made more detailed and Nounish. In terms of funding, you can also reduce things that are not essential anymore. The rest I will also support the revision of this proposal!
The Oshi team was nounish before they started nouning around. Have been impressed with every activation they've been involved with, including next level proliferation on socials.
Excited to see this level of commitment from an existing and already amazing business. We're lucky they are interested in dedicating their time and effort to nouns.
I don't have a vote - but just wanted to officially say that I'm super excited by this prop. Good luck!

Intrigued by this prop but similar to the recent Rio proposal im not a hell yes as of now (but can possibly be convinced over time).

Actionable feedback for Oshi team would be to ingrain themselves more deeply in nouns day-to-day (social layer, governance, pass smaller props, etc) in the next 6 months and then come back with this idea. Thank you so much for proposing!
Massive fan of Jane and GT, and Oshi! They might not be visible in governance, but they have their ear to the on-chain-streets like no other. They were one of the first to reach out to partner on distributing butter.wtf merch at one of their events and have been engaged with ⌐◨-◨ in one-way-or-the-other since the early days.
Voting against, because I'm an advocate of an iterative roadmap and funding scheme. Can we start with funding a 3-4months with events and the advertising space, and iterate from there? From being in the weeds right now, working hard to pull things together for Nouns Town, it seems like everyone would benefit more from taking it slower to identify key opportunities with leverage to make this something great and self-sufficient.

cheffo | *"Walking into the Oshi Gallery and seeing the walls covered in digital Nouns art with a custom OTG welcome message was one of the most endearing and nounish moments I have had in Nouns. This was before we had even met!
Having toured the space and stood in the spot where some of the original Nounge conversations took place, I can say that this is a DOPE spot. The neighborhood is about as cool as it gets with tons of on brand traffic. The building is fitted out well and has the room and layout to fully succeed and quickly. The digital billboard is quite literally perfectly placed and will be seen by thousands daily.
The prop specifically handled the budget in a very clean way and with out overages. As I said in the previous IRL vote..Nouns is past due for brick and mortar but it has to really make sense and be worth it for the long term. The team has to be top. The Nounge is all that and more. With the passing of Nounish and Nouns Deli this seems like a natural extension for Nouns investment in Melbourne and Australia. I kinda think Nounstown may be headed here soon.
Good luck down unda. LFG"*

So, I really like the teams energy and the thought of attaching our branding to an art gallery long term.. Especially one already 'doing it' in the web3 world, supporting artists, onchain culture (and Nouns).. Feels a lot more intimate and ethos-aligned than something like Hope Park to me, for example. Also likely they'll get a lot more "bottom of funnel" folks coming through for events and have a lot of 1:1 convo's about nouns.
It's only a 15min drive from Nouns Deli.. Close to Nounish and Variety home bases..? Feels like Melbourne is turning into a little 'Nounish state' and I dig that + seeing all the intertwined projects and collaboration going on out there.
I'm leaning yes here while agreeing with some of the other comments; specifically about the Noun ask.
I’m a big fan of funding events, not spaces. Spaces are a lot of overhead that then require more resources for events

While we continue to speak about onboarding and growing our nouns community, when a proven hub for web3 asks for funding we turn up our noses, while saying hell yes to props like deli/coffee shops. Likelihood of Mrs Smith buying a noun and joining our community after eating a bacon egg roll, and drinking a coffee. Is a lot lower than the artist and web3-enriched people that use this gallery. While I would appreciate a slim-down version and the removal of a noun. I'll vote yes. And ask you to think about who and how we will onboard anyone if we continue to think to expand our circle the best spot to start is way out in the realms of people who we have to guide to create a wallet, and understand crypto is more than BTC and scam tokens.
Tough sell for me, the risk-reward here seems difficult to push me towards a yes here given the cost.
Honestly, it just doesn't do anything for me. Can't see this capital being efficient or positively inefficient in moving any needles.

The space looks amazing and the right fit for a Nouns workspace hangout. I'm down to collaborate when the time comes. This is a perfect excuse to hop on a plane to Australia and hang with the legends!

Jane & GT are amazing, and a great onboards to the community... would love to support a small retro prop to compensate them for hosting the Nouns Global Pizza Parties 2 years in a row & also keen to support future Nounish events they host, but voting against this current proposal.

echoing others that it's great to see the team having contributed in many ways in the past. I'd support more individual events as their own props. However, I'm not at a "hell yes" for wanting to spend 300k on a nouns irl space

Voting FOR, being my area of expertise, and for the multiple reasons I've outlined below in detail:
I do not believe a full rebrand is necessary, but a partnership with Billboard would be very interesting and all for. Funny idea of forever noun matching number with address, but I don't think it should be included beforehand, as i share the interest in gov concerns. Unfortunally many gifted nouns have low participation, and I wouldn’t like to continue that trend.
the O in the logo looks cursed, voting against purely based on that
Hi 0xwiz, thank you for the feedback.
We can understand your concern regarding 'request for Noun', but would like to assure you we will be very active participants in governance voting.
As mentioned in replies below, it was only recently we were aware we could signal in voting without a Noun. Instead, over the past few years we decided to be active by supporting the successful outcomes of the DAO, and the people within it, such as the BTC PizzaDay 23' & 24', Variety Charity, and Nouns Deli, along with giving out lo-fi Noggles & nouns stickers etc regularly daily to visitors and at events, both internal & external.
Money will be used to completely nounify our venue, both internally and externally. If you take a look at the 'Proof of Work' section in the prop (and scroll to the bottom of the page) you will see our past art activations in which we completely build and make-over ourselves. These show the type of make-over we will deliver in a nounish way. Also check out the 'matterport 3D scan' link, the likes of our B2B (beer-2-beer) garden has a 17m (55ft) long wall which we will recreate in appreciation of all Nouns voting FOR. When we are done, expect the most nounish venue in the world. Big call, but we are 100% capable and it's what we do.
We run on average 4 events per month, sometimes up 8 or more. This varies as some events require more bump in & bump out time due to make overs. As we are a split level venue, we can run extra educational/panel talks etc upstairs whilst the ground floor hosts the major event/exhibition. Take our first PizzaDAO BTC Pizza Day event in 2023, we closed the doors for 3 days prior for bump in to make over the venue to look like an Italian pizzeria, including a huge set of sculpted noggles on the wall, then 1 day for bump out. We did this completely free of charge.
The 12x key Nouns events we run will average to 1 per month, though this can vary depending on key times things are happening in the Nouns ecosystem, along with planning, temp make-overs and coordination etc. We may have a month that is 4x 1 week back-to-back Nouns events.
Over the past decade, we have run our galleries in a 1-2 format. 1 month we focus on capital raising events where the funds are re-invested to support up to 2 months of free events. Events such as educational events and artist exhibitions, like the WarpedCast exhibition we extended to run for 2 weeks. We curated over 100 artists, all for free to support the warpcast artist community. (See link) https://warpcast.com/oshi/0x20d99e89
The 5% revenue comes from the digital billboard, not the whole business. At a comparative projection it could raise $13,000+ per year. We have built the venue to a stage where it is sustainable. This is why we are not asking for staff/rent/overheads or goodwill purchase of the business etc in the prop.
We are about as close as you can be to being a 'Not-for-profit' without legally being one. The extra revenue will help us do more free events more effectively, all whilst promoting the Nouns ecosystem.

TLDR: Rebranding Oshi to The Nounge FOREVER not for 3 months, not for 6 months, not for 12 months. But. The. Nounge. Everyday. Forever…
After two years becoming the web3 culture hub as OSHI, we're ready to fully embrace the Nouns ecosystem by rebranding as The Nounge. This shift will amplify our impact not only in the web3 space but also in creating a safe, open space for learning, collaboration, and community. The Nounge will bring greater visibility to our ongoing work and help us build a self-sustaining community focused venue that consistently showcases the Nouns brand and shares its ethos with new audiences.
The Nounge will stay true to OSHI's "Culture before capital" motto, serving as a hub for education, tech, and creative collaboration among Nouners and the community alike. Our rebranding will focus on onboarding and introducing the public to the power of Nouns. Including rebranding across all of our social media platforms and a new website build. Offering a venue for engagement with the web3 space and interaction with the Australian and International Nouns community.
We have hosted numerous Nouns events, including the Nouns-funded Pizza Dao in 2023 and 2024, each attracting over 200 attendees. These events featured a venue makeover, Nouns-themed decor, and a custom-made 8-bit video game by local creator, Marka, that was a highlight for many.
We've also conducted 'Create your own Noun' art workshops at exhibitions and schools, donating art supplies and recently during the Nouns Variety Bash raising money for local primary schools. Additionally, we've built a life-sized "Big Hearted Noun" costume for the Variety Children's Charity 2023 Christmas Party, fabricated life-size Noggles bench seats, and helped raise thousands of dollars for Australian charities through Nouns CCO.
The Nounge Digital Mural will be a pioneering, culture-first digital billboard showcasing Nouns Dao, web3 brands, crypto, DeFi, DAOs, NFTs, tech, and the cultural impact of art and creators. Running 24/7, this dynamic digital mural at The Nounge, located at 386 Smith Street, Collingwood, will become a staple of local street culture in Australia's premiere Web3 institution.
Why Smith Street? It's the art and tech hub of Australia, situated on Melbourne’s third busiest tram line, with over 50,000+ daily commuters. Over 12 months, the Digital Mural could easily achieve >18 million impressions.
With >95% of past events at OSHI being free and open to the public, the Digital Mural will provide a consistent revenue stream by curating and selling ad slots, supporting these communities and engaging more people in web3 and the Nouns ecosystem. The Nounge Digital Mural is projected to generate $5-10k per week, covering overheads, contributing to sustainability, and funding future free events within The Nounge.
Nouns Dao will have exclusive access to 3 ad slots, updated via an online portal, running 24/7, 365 days a year—offering continuous exposure for Nouns. These ad slots will be able to be updated daily and have the potential to garner a huge public response and celebrate the work the Nouns Community has done over the years by leveraging a public 24/7 billboard.
The Nounge will commit 5% of the revenue generated from the Digital Mural towards purchasing auctioned Nouns.
In the unlikely event that council permits are not approved, 100% of the Escrow amount will be returned to the DAO. Having worked with this council for over a decade, and after recently engaging the necessary parties, we are confident that the permits will be approved.
The Nounge will be a cultural hub dedicated to public good events, hosting initiatives by groups such as Creative AI Melbourne, Blockchain RMIT, Women in Tech, and the Australian Computer Society. This space is available free of charge for educational events like hackathons, group online gaming nights, charity auctions, Web3 master classes, art and creative workshops, and practical sessions like "How to Noun for Dummies," among others.
The Nounge will also serve as a free co-working space, ideal for meetings, project work, and collaborations. In Melbourne, where co-working spaces can cost upwards of $50 per day, providing a free alternative at The Nounge is expected to significantly boost community engagement and exposure for The Nounge.
The Nounge will feature an onsite coffee machine and offer rotating CC0 recipes from Nouns Deli, a well-known deli in Malvern, Melbourne, it is famous for its deli-style sandwiches. Servicing the guests in the co-working space, events and passes by.
Over the past two years, OSHI Gallery has co-hosted events with an average attendance of 100 people, with over 40% of attendees being first-time visitors. This has resulted in a steady stream of new subscribers for upcoming events. Each event consistently attracts a growing audience, directly exposing the Nouns community to new people with every Nouns-powered event.
The Nounge will curate and collaborate with creatives and Nouns brands to present twelve exhibitions over the next twelve months, each featuring an official opening night and will be free and open to the public to attend.
These exhibitions will showcase artists from the Nouns ecosystem and beyond, leveraging The Nounge’s high-foot-traffic location and state-of-the-art digital displays. As one of the world's leading digital galleries, The Nounge offers artists unparalleled exposure. Known for developing world-first events that attract significant attention, The Nounge team is committed to fostering collaboration with innovative businesses in the Nouns space.
As part of this initiative, we will also build a merchandise shop stocking Nounish products, including Bigshot Toyworks, Noggles, apparel, skateboards, and more.
Past exhibitions have been featured in prominent publications such as the Australian Financial Review (3.5 million readers), ABC News (5.4 million monthly viewers), Herald Sun (2.5 million readers), Medici Minutes (30,000+ subscribers), and The Guardian (6.7 million monthly readers).
Past activations, bespoke builds with brands like Star Wars, Marvel, Disney, Australian Open and more that the team at OSHI has curated, built and installed.
The Nounge will be a community hub and digital mural offering unparalleled exposure for the Nouns brand, positioning it at the heart of Melbourne's vibrant cultural and tech scene. Located on Smith Street, Collingwood, this strategic placement enhances public perception and engagement with Nouns, aligning it with Australia’s creative epicentre.
OSHI Gallery a Web3 digital art gallery has been renowned for hosting exclusive events and world-firsts, has collaborated with industry giants such as Warner Music, Sony Music (including Tyler, the Creator’s GOLF WANG), Ed Sheeran, Gorillaz, Bring Me the Horizon, Parkway Drive, and Paramore. This history of high-profile partnerships ensures that The Nounge digital billboard will reach a diverse and influential audience.
Situated in a bustling, dynamic area, Oshi has been the epicenter of unique events, including Metamask x Dead Fellaz collaborations, Blockchain Australia panel talks, DAO Debates, AFTR Hours DJ and live music events, Voxels showcases, Federation Square projects, VIP afterparties, workshops, and panel talks. With state-of-the-art facilities and a massive projection space, as The Nounge we will continue to attract tech enthusiasts, music lovers, and innovators.
In just two years, Oshi has hosted over 75,000 people, making it an ideal location for capturing attention and driving engagement. A digital mural here not only elevates your brand’s visibility externally but also embeds it within a community that values innovation, creativity, and cultural significance.
Aligning the Nouns brand with The Nounge, a venue that epitomizes cutting-edge experiences and cultural relevance, will significantly enhance public perception and interaction with the brand. This fosters a deeper connection and amplifies the impact of Nouns.
Beyond exposure and revenue, The Nounge ecosystem enables ongoing public engagement through meaningful, real-life connections and learning experiences, driving growth and innovation both in Australia and beyond.
“This is not just a venue space, this is a place where we the hosts at The Nounge actually live the culture and are at the forefront of its evolution. We are connected to this industry, we facilitate onboarding and educating people on the Nouns ecosystem, through our open to the public events and social interactions.” Jane The Nounge (Oshi) Director
Over the past 2yrs OSHI has purpose built a custom IRL space for the web3 community, a safe place to call home, inviting the general public in up to 7 days a week.
We have had a full Lidar 3D scan of the venue inside and out so that you can walk through each area and have a sense of how the space can be utilized, right down to our unique bathrooms. That’s right we have #instagrammable bathrooms!
##Peep your noggles over this:
The Nounge Melbourne is divided into 3 unique areas;
This is The Nounge’s feature public art gallery and event space. This area is street front facing with “blue sky” ceilings at 7 meters (23ft) high. It has 15 large digital displays, including 13 Samsung Frames, 1x Front and center BOSS video wall at 12.5sqm (135sqft) & the mammoth projection space of 75sqm (800sqft)! (The Floor caters up to 225 pax)
The gem upstairs. Level-Up acquired its name for two reasons, 1. It’s obviously next level, being upstairs. 2. It is purpose built for events & education.
This is where The Nounge will help support as many artists/builders/creators it can. Whether it be free venue hire for educators and events alike.
Level-Up is currently a flexible work space, with the ability to transform from classroom/auditorium style seating with stage set-up for panelists for 100 pax or a comfy lounge, ahem, Nounge style layout with chilled tunes and art for a work space like no other. (Level-Up caters up to 125 pax)
We think the title says it all. The B2B garden is one of our patrons' most favorite spaces. This is our private beer garden where people love to retreat on opening nights, to chat, network and simply be social in an outdoor setting.
With window views into the gallery along with a 17 meter (55ft) long customizable banner and walls adorned in art from local street artists (B2B Garden caters up to 150 pax)
OVERALL VENUE CAPACITY UP TO ~500 pax*
We don’t want to be Melbourne’s most Nounish space, we will be the world’s most Nounish Space.

##Peep your noggles over this:
The Nounge Melbourne is divided into 3 unique areas;
