I like it - low cost while hopefully getting more high-quality Nouns writing out into the world.
Low cost, interesting premise (though I would love a creative writing category, not just essays), and outreach to a new community.
I do agree with some of the feedback that we should have a similar contest on Rounds as well, but I'm actually more in favor of this proposal because it's using its own platform. Rounds is wonderful, but it's not the best tool for every job- plus, this is introducing nouns to a collective of thoughtful individuals.
My biggest hesitation was the entry fee, but as the team has stated in other replies that's being covered for nouns and entrants, so with that gone this is a definite yes. Can't wait to read the entries!

The low cost of experimenting with Nouns in a new realm (re: kiwi), it's worth giving it a try!

lunari: for +1 nouncil! (low cost too) humans are creative, communal creatures - SEND IT
jesscas: For this is super useful to have as a medium to share nounishness, and a good price tag. Let's make it happen!
tori: for: yesyesyesyes! i love writing contests, it is a great lil insight to what people think about nouns that we wouldnt hear otherwise. I am very excited to read submissions
More nouns content, more doorways for people to enter the nouniverse.

Nouncil has decided in favor of this proposal, with 33 votes for, 2 against, and 6 abstentions. Supporters appreciated the low budget ask, high potential impact, and the focus on generating more Nounish writing. The collaboration with platforms like Kiwi and Farcaster was seen as a positive move to broaden reach and engagement. Some questions were raised about the openness of the project due to token gating, but overall, the proposal was seen as an exciting and valuable initiative for increasing content and storytelling about Nouns.

New unexplored form factor (longform writing), low cost and working with a cryptonative platform makes it a worthwhile engagement.
Please reconsider making Kiwi pass optional for participating or subsidize it for all participants.
PlayDNA is FOR. See below for our collective vote with reason (TheBower, JP, FabValle, joaoborges):
Between all the art, gaming and minting that Nouns have going, essays and articles is one one area we are lacking in. We support this initiative to incentivize people to think and bring new discussions, concepts and ideas to the community.
Internally we went back and forth on whether the participation fee and the lack of a defined voting plan were motives to not support this iteration . Ultimately, based on the responses, we feel the team is capable of amending these issues, making us comfortable in voting FOR.
I think Nouns has a great roll on the rounds on Warpcast at the moment don't see why it can't be another category in there.

+1 all the other no comments here- feels like using nouns funds to incentivize onboarding.. would like to see something more organic and without a paywall. Would rather see something like this go through Rounds.wtf.
Love the concept of a writing contest but not a fan of adding friction for contestants wanting to participate..... UpLink, Prop House (RIP) & Rounds have really set the standards for community contests, which is easy to access, easy to use and no cost to the end user.

sorry, please forgive me, but voting against due to the ~20 USD NFT participation requirement.
i'd prefer to waste money on other things

I love the idea of writing more about nouns. I'd be keen to help out here selecting prompts and helping the team with rounds (if they do decide to use rounds for scoring)
Thanks for a cool prop!
Sponsored and definitely believe this is a good thing to vote yes for.
I would love to see more people writing about Nouns and trust this team to execute at a high level. I've been a user of Kiwi News for almost two years and their ethos of being an Opens Source, censorship resistant, credibly neutral protocol with multiple front-ends is very Nouns aligned.
They have been running these writing contests successful and their current round even caught the attention of our favorite Noggle wearing, Ethereum co-founder.

I think this is a really interesting experiment with fairly low cost to the DAO. Let's keep these rolling! They also did a Tavern you can check out https://alpha.tavern.fm/taverns/LbWFarjasqYPdhjWjBTe
