Nouncil has decided in favor of this proposal, with 24 votes for, 5 against, and 4 abstentions. Supporters appreciated the swap, seeing it as a unique and appealing choice, aligning well with personal preferences. While there were a few opposing votes, the proposal received strong support and was approved.

I do believe in swaps, generally, but I also think that we should implement some basics.

I'm curious if vintage matters, e.g. do folks ask for Swaps for older Nouns and do they tend to carry a premium? It appears to be that way (along with maybe trait rarity?) if I look at secondary markets (OS, Blur, Kraken, etc.).

Except for foundations/teams that have contributed to Nouns, I think a special rate would be a good way to ensure folks can get their forever Noun/traits that align with their work/personality/vibe.

For all other swaps, would ask that we consider a standard payment to the treasury. One possible way:

"1:1": a small fee to Swap similar Nouns or Nouns from #xxxx and beyond Somewhat rare/#xx-#xxx Nouns: a medium-sized fee to swap.
Very rare/first #xx/#xxx Nouns: highest ETH paid to swap

Where ETH paid=is in some fixed relation to the current average price or maybe just fixed overall for now. Super huge fan of Paperclip labs and nounswap.wtf especially the treasury data. And for this reason some kind of compensation/ROI back to the treasury can be done while keeping the means to get the right PFP affordable.

And have a lotta' love for the Nounspace team. Would love to see someone with a deeper XP on Swaps suggest a model as I'm def not the expert.

.1 seems like a good tip. Much higher than the other ones.

Noun swap proposal, should at a minimum require a tip that covers client incentives and vote refund cost. Recent auction buying/winning any noun to instantly place a swap proposal should use the tools available to settle a noun of your liking, as the swap process is at minimum 7-10 days. All while costing you extra $$$ than the rolling average of the daily auction.

5/9 of the last proposals have been for swaps, I think it's getting a bit out of hand.... there are resources available for people to choose the Noun of their choice from auction before buying, let's encourage people to use those tools. Would love to get the stats on how much the last 5 swap proposals has cost the DAO, I believe it's going to be higher than the tips provided. It's also getting a bit boring voting on cookie cutter proposals. Yes, I believe people should have their forever Noun, but they can choose that from the auction. Voting against on the principal that I do not want to continue to vote on swap proposals on a weekly basis.
