I’m voting FOR this prop.
Why Pizza Parties matter: I sense and observe lot of social tension in the system. We as a community need more social gatherings like a Pizza Party, to ease that tension and connect peer-to-peer.
What does success look like for me?
What does a positive ROI for the DAO look like?
Do I care about how many people are „onboarded to Nouns“ through this party? I do not. I see this as a platform for the nuclear community members to meet like-minded (and bring their friends).
Do we need a lot of hard success metrics? We do not.
Should there be more content captured that can be extended beyond the IRL moment? absolutely.
I have my reservations on some of the details, but mainly with the requested funds: The price being a meme implies that it's all a joke. But the joke isn't clear: a) are you doing it anyway - with or without Nouns? GREAT! b) the joke is on Nouns. I believe neither are true. The signaling isn't positive. All it does is undermining the (hard) work.
Would love to see a vision laid out in the next prop.
PizzaDAO events have been some of the best activations I've been to. Tying nouns to these amazing events is an easy proliferation before, during and after the events. Snax and team have the process down and always delivery amazing media on all socials after the fact. Excited to see this opportunity extend to even more cities for 2024!
I think what PizzaDAO pulls off each year for Bitcoin Pizza Day is an impressive world-wide feat of coordination, and I think it’s pretty cool that Nouns has the opportunity to have pride of placement at all these many events. I had a blast at the event in my city last year, and was impressed by how Nounish the whole thing was (pretty much all the signage, Photo Booth etc were somehow nounified.) Also, Snax is personally one of the most nounish people I’ve ever met and we are lucky to have him as a Nouner.

While I appreciate PizzaDAO's enthusiasm and commitment to spreading joy through pizza parties, I have to vote no on this proposal for a few key reasons.
As Noun40 pointed out, I believe it's time for Nouns to phase out meme numbers for budgets. A request of $69,420 makes the proposal feel arbitrary instead of clearly defined.
Additionally, the proposal lacks specificity around the actual impact and reach of these pizza parties. How many parties will be funded exactly? Where will they be located? How many people are expected to attend each one? Without more details on the scope, it's hard to assess if the amount requested is reasonable and will be used effectively.
Finally, while I commend the goal of onboarding new people, it's unclear how effective pizza parties are for achieving that. Most attendees will likely be those already familiar with both the onchain ecosystem and Nouns itself. I’d love to see evidence of how past PizzaDAO events measurably grew the community with new members in order to fund this on the basis of proliferation.
While I have no doubt the PizzaDAO team throws delightful parties, I cannot in good conscience vote yes without a more compelling, specific, and impact-focused plan.

pizza dao has been consistent in their engagement with nouns and love for pizza and spreading positive crypto culture to more ppl so i’m supportive of funding again this year! a few minor prop writing nits from me is that when a prop is a recurring prop (in this case it’s annual) i would hope for a heavier retrospective on the execution of the previous year’s prop specifically not just a general overview of pizza dao’s past activities. also when funding ask goes up (it seems like around 65% increase this time) i would specifically call out what parts of the budget is changing / growing and how that is reflective of the previous year’s learnings. i would also definitely steer away from meme number funding amounts since it can be an anti-signal in the seriousness or thoughtfulness of the prop (appearing that you chose a funding amount bc it was memeable rather than bc that was the amount needed). voting FOR since i think this prop is still very much in good faith and the pizza dao energy is nounish but something to keep in mind for next year!

Spreading nouns through the deliciousness of pizza across the globe is very nounish.
I hope I can attend one/some of these! I still haven't been to a pizza dao party and the fomo is real!
Off the cuff it's hard to think of something more nounish than a global pizza party: It's fun, ambitious, weird, and wholesome. Coming from a team that has proven it can execute, it makes sense for Nouns to contribute & show presence on what might be the most well-known crypto holiday, across major cities worldwide.

To date, PizzaDAO has given away over $750,000 worth of real, edible pizza in more than 75 countries. You might have eaten some during previous global pizza parties or at NFT.NYC, Art Basel Miami, NFT Paris, NFT Sydney, ETHDenver, ETH CC, Token 2049, SXSW, NFTLA, or one of the many smaller events we've supported.
PizzaDAO first came together on February 18th, 2021 to make the generative pizza NFT Rare Pizzas, a collaboration between 314 international artists who each contributed a different topping. We’ve gone on to raise over $1M through the sale of the NFTs, as well as build strong partnerships with many organizations in the blockchain ecosystem, organizing three global pizza parties and a large number of community events.
As we grow, our goal is to build solutions for independent pizzerias (software, marketing, consulting, etc.) and conduct individual fundraisers to buy pizzeria real estate in partnership with local pizzerias and their communities.

We onboard communities one slice at a time. Our goal is to Nounify Bitcoin Pizza Day while creating touch points with potential collaborators through IRL activations at community events. Nouns assets will be integrated throughout PizzaDAO’s marketing materials, events, and branding to highlight the partnership, presenting Nouns as the headline partner to PizzaDAO’s Global Pizza Party 2024.
Having Nounish gear present at our pizza parties makes a lasting impression on our guests. Nouns Pizza Party Kits featuring props and swag will be sent to organizers to allow attendees to participate in Nounish photobooths and other IRL activations and co-branded material will be visible to attendees throughout the event and on social media.
We’ll fund the creation of Nouns x PizzaDAO NFTs by Nounish artists, promote the mints on socials, and display minting QR codes at premier parties.
PizzaDAO will work closely with Gnars and Nouns Esports to host activations at events in Rio De Janeiro, Melbourne, New York, Austin, and potentially more cities. We invite all Nounish DAOs to get involved this year by hosting activations at our events in major cities around the globe. We hope that these activities will serve to grow each Nounish DAO’s community on the local level, building a stronger global Nounish network. In particular, beyond Gnars and Nouns Esports we’d like to shout out Lil Nouns, Public Nouns, Nouns Amigos, Nouns Running Club, Nouns Amigos, Purple DAO, and The Yellow Collective and invite them to join in on the fun.
We’re helping pizzerias around the world use crypto to empower their businesses while giving back to their communities. We believe that we can assist businesses to become community owned by tokenizing the pizzerias in our network using open source technology. Beyond that, we believe that pizza is a public good and that Rare Pizzas’ Art to Pizza model can be replicated to solve some of the world’s biggest problems while spreading joy (and sauce).
We intend our Global Pizza Party to be an accessible and fun way to get introduced to and utilize blockchain technologies. Plus, throwing a global party is a good team-building exercise for Spaceship Earth!
