Bboys and Bgirls from Nouns Amigos, Nouns DAO Japan & Nouns Brazil launching a net to support artists from the streets to worldwide stages. We are requesting 45 ETH to fund Season 1 of NOUNS BREAKERS. A team of professional breakers exposing Nouns to the biggest hip hop competitions around the globe.
We are aware that the hype and global recognition for Breaking skyrocketed since tickets to see the new official Olympic sport at Paris 2024 sold out in less than 2 hours, and of course Nouns Breakers ain’t missing any of it. From local to major and worldwide competitions, our athletes have been non stop working to achieve their dreams and bringing Nouns to the biggest stages.
With the support of Nouns we can change the narrative by help financing high-performance athletes to focus solely on training and perfecting their craft, and thus achieve better results in their up and coming careers.
We made a list of the top competitions for the Summer/Spring world breaking season. More dates and events still to be confirmed, and are already included in the budget. *Attendance of athletes to events depends on invitation, competition format, visa status or other factors.
We're requesting 45 ETH for the first season of Nouns Breakers. This budget will empower us to focus on our preparation and performance at competitions, while also ensuring that Nouns visibility is magnified worldwide.

This is exactly the kind of exposure we want for nouns. A brand of good, movement, fun! Really happy to see this moving forward.
If I can give some feedback, I expect a bit more effort in the content side of things, bringing all the irl work online.
i am supportive of nouns penetrating niche cultural scenes through genuine community participants that are also passionate about nouns.
i like the uniforms linked in the tweet, though merchandise mockups in the prop feel a bit generic/bland - perhaps some more soul could be added to the designs

Really excited for this. Only note is the uniform designs could be much more exciting. We've got a ton of cc0 artwork and amazing artists who could turn up the volume. Other than that, looking forward to seeing more!
Andrea was trying to build this concept off small grants & prop house rounds & I suggested taking it a step further... that was last July, she has been building ever since. I'm bullish on this project & cant wait to see what the team delivers.

Breaking has become a huge sport and has always been an incredible art form. I think aligning Nouns with it's deeply rooted culture and international community of multi-disciplined creatives is a smart move.

There's a few reasons I support this proposal! I'm a huge fan of integrating nouns into deep cultural scenes and this ticks that box for me. We saw the Olympics sharing the noggles because of this crew. And when it comes to IRL meetups and events, I think the impact to be had there when people see you wearing the noggles is actually huge - I have experienced it first hand. I believe supporting this proposal will bring nouns to more people, and that when seen in this context, will lead to positive association.
