Grateful to Arash for all his time and energy in Nouns, and for being receptive to the feedback on the candidate.
Nouns - Do Your Thing
i echo others concerns that this won't be a compelling game, but there's only one way to find out. given the intense effort from the team, and the visual quality of the work in progress, i think they deserve a chance

brettdrawsstuff | "Not a big gamer personally, but this looks incredible and would 100% download to play around ⌐◨-◨"
AGAINST - 8 VOTES
peterpandam | "no marketing strategy shared which is ultimately the most important aspect of publishing a game imo"
borg00000 | "they should release some demo imo"
ABSTAINS - 6 VOTES
i am torn between the tenacity & dedication of this team and the fact that the gaming space is so immensely crowded and competitive that the odds of this game drawing significant eyes and play time is low

The financial input for this proposal is not economical.
It's worth noting that the quality of the game sample is good, and the gameplay seems mature. However, it's unfortunate that the Nouns community is in a down economic cycle, and the proposal is not in sync with the political mood cycle of the Nouns community.
I agree with the feedback from both against and for votes.
Although I don't think Nouns should be funding games and it's unknown whether a game will be any good until it's in your hands, I think the requested amount is reasonable to help put the first nounish game in players hands even if it's just a demo.
However, I don't see the DAO being involved in funding beyond that unless the game turns out to be great and the bulk of the funding comes from somewhere else.
I still firmly believe games need to have a playable demo to prove it's fun. Games can look amazing, but unless they are fun they have no real sticking power. Showing an awesome trailer is great but its not a fundable method. If you launch a playable demo, and the community loves and enjoys the game as it was then it's an easy yes. Until you get to that state I don't think it's worth funding at this stage.
+1 to krel... but shoutout to Arash for putting in the work always.

I feel VERY similarly to krel on this one. really impressed by arash's tenacity and WANT to support this for that reason but if I'm being honest I don't see this and feel giddy excitement that this is likely the beginning of an great new game. ofc hope I'm proven wrong here but personally don't agree with the spend here.
This is tough.
To start, Im impressed by Arash's tenacity -- thank you for doing this proposal.
But my 30+ years of videogame experience is telling me this wont be a good game, hence its a No from me.
I hope you build this without DAO funding and prove me wrong, Arash!
Arash has put a lot of work in over the last year - gifs, music videos, video explainers.. It seems like he truly loves working with the nouns ecosystem and nouns assets. I really like this version of the game- The trailer was amazing and the videos of the demo look great. Hope to see this pass and come to life! — This proposal was sponsored by Lil NounsDAO.

This is a very well written prop. Arash Has been a relentless Nouns creator, using his team’s talents to do many high quality experiments. This is the experiment to fund. I’m excited to see Nouns on Steam, to playtest and give feedback on this version of the game as we refine and build the full game together as a community.

This specific proposal aims to secure funding for the release of the playable demo in December on the Steam store.

This crucial phase involves meticulous refinement to ensure a flawless gaming experience. It encompasses various tasks, such as fine-tuning character animations for seamless gameplay, replacing test sound effects and visual effects with their final counterparts to enhance immersion, conducting rigorous technical testing and debugging to eliminate any potential issues, and optimizing the final content for compatibility across a wide range of devices. Our goal is to deliver a polished, bug-free, and captivating demo that showcases the full potential of 'Nounishpunk' to our audience.
Production of marketing content and materials.
This encompasses the creation of a wide range of promotional materials, including eye-catching posters, captivating trailers, and stunning concept art. These assets will be strategically designed to engage our target audience, build excitement, and effectively communicate the unique features and appeal of 'Nounishpunk' to potential players and supporters.
We are committed to providing propdates along the way.
Check out the excitement! People can't stop asking about the intriguing world of 'Nounishpunk' and its unique connection to the Nouns DAO. See how curiosity is piqued and interest is sky-high. It's clear that the Nouns culture is sparking intrigue far and wide through the Nounishpunk game.
Here's the question: Is a Nounish game designed to introduce players to Nouns DAO and its culture worthy of support and funding from DAO? We believe that this game has the potential to generate significant exposure and positive advertising for DAO. Although we haven't even initiated a press release for the game, and without any external funding, we've strived to familiarize DAO with the world we've crafted, but we received encouraging feedback and it shows us that even with a small amount of support from DAO, we can make a significant impact.
The Genius Slackers team is an independent producer of video games. The company was founded in 2016 by Arash Negahban and Saeed Abbasi.
You probably know Arash for the animations and music videos he made for NounsDAO! Here’s some of the work I have done:
We are excited to unveil our partnership with Nouns Factory. In this collaboration, we are proud to be the creative force behind the 3D rendition of their distinctive clothing line. These designs will be seamlessly integrated into our game, allowing players to customize their avatars with these exclusive clothing options. What's particularly intriguing is that players will also have the opportunity to directly purchase these real-world garments through the game.
Through this endeavor, we are introducing players to the world of Nousnish fashion, inspiring them to become patrons of Nouns Factory. With each real-world purchase of these showcased garments, we will receive a share of the proceeds.
In addition to our collaboration with "Nouns Factory", we are excited to partner with
These outstanding projects, funded by NounsDAO, bring immense potential for seamless integration into the world of Nounishpunk, perfectly complementing its unique art style.
In the game, our protagonist rides a skateboard inspired by 'Gnars,' showcasing incredible tricks along the edges of 'Noggle Chairs.' He reenergizes with 'Public Good' drinks for that extra turbo boost while tackling side-missions and achievements intricately connected with 'ComicsDAO.' All of this unfolds within a futuristic cityscape adorned with Nounish art, particularly when equipped with the stylish 'Nouns Factory-Style' shirt and Nounish weapons that can be customized with decals from 'Stickers.fun.'
This promises to be the most Nounish project ever, offering an immersive experience where these remarkable brands seamlessly blend with Nounishpunk's distinctive universe.

Story Rebels are causing a ruckus on one of the beloved Nounish planets with their wacky robots! They've taken people, hostage. They're plotting to misuse the voting power of hostages in the DAO for some shady stuff. DAO is set to make a game-changing decision to tackle this situation.
World Building In the captivating realm of Nounishpunk, a universe brimming with sci-fi wonders, the very fabric of existence resonates with Nounish essence. Inhabitants are known as Nouns and Lilnouns, and governance takes the form of a collaborative group known as Nouners operating within a DAO. Across diverse Nounish planets, decisions are shaped by the power of collective votes, weaving a unique tapestry of control. However, beneath this intricate harmony, AI technology has surged to an alarming pinnacle, casting an ominous shadow over the world's delicate equilibrium.
Art Style The art style of Nounishpunk boasts a fantasy-stylized aesthetic characterized by gracefully curved shapes. Nature's elements sport unconventional colors; expect to encounter blue trees and other unexpected hues. Characters themselves may feature unique anatomical traits, such as an apple-head character, adding to the game's distinctive visual allure.
